1. Biotin
Biotin has long been known to be essential to hoof soundness in many species. Clinical reports claim an improvement in hoof quality when feeding 10 to 30 mg of biotin per day for at least 6 to 9 months to adult horses. Each one (1) ounce feeding of HorseTech BioFlax 20 provides 20 mg of premium quality Biotin on a nutritive carrier of high quality Flaxseed Meal (source of Omega 3 & 6) and Yeast Culture.
2. Flaxseed Meal - Source of Omega 3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids
BioFlax 20 utilizes a 99% pure, premium quality flaxseed meal as a base. In fact, over 50% of the total product is comprised of flaxseed meal. The flaxseed meal utilized is both unique and nutritive with as much as 60% of the oil present, being high in desirable Omega 3 fatty acids. Unique in that the naturally occurring oil is carried within the meal. There's no greasy film, or oily appearance and the product stays fresh and usable far longer than ordinary flaxseed meal (shelf life is typically 6 months). The product carries a naturally fresh and palatable aroma -- there's no artificual masking aroma needed here. Your horses will love it. Great for the hair coat, great for the hooves and much more.
3. Lysine, Methionine, and Vitamin B6
Lysine and Methionine are essential amino acids that must be in the diet, since a horse's body cannot produce them. BioFlax 20 provide 2500 mg of Methionine and 1900 mg of Lysine per one ounce feeding. Vitamin B6 is a necessary B vitamin for the production of hoof tissue. One ounce provides 20 mg of Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride).
